HOW DO YOU WIN A WAR WITHOUT SEVERE CONSEQUENCES?

If this country, the USA, had invaded North Vietnam in 1963 or 64 on a massive scale blitzkrieg style it would have won that conflict and incurred fewer casualties on both sides. It would probably have cost the USA 5 to 10 thousand lives and the NV 200 to 300 thousand. This numbers are better than the 55 thou and 2 mil respectively. It eventually cost both sides more in lives and property damage when the conflict lasted until 1973. When wars become wars of attrition no one wins. The NV won only because the USA lost. They won by default. Wars are a brutal business that the warring party must be brutal and decisive in order to prevail. When the warring party acts in a defensive manner then it could be beginning of the end. The warring party must never be afraid to use massive power against the enemy it must be done early and fast stinginess and dilatation will only make things harder in the long run and if it come to be long run situation then it could just as well be a losing proposition and no point continuing at this point the body bags coming home will surely end the war this is the genius of Adolph Hitler fight quick and early don't let them catch their breath this saved untold lives even by Nazi standards Hitler's mistake was when his war against the Soviet Union turned into a war of attrition then his days were numbered
